The Welland NGBA Warriors U14 team captured OBA Gold this weekend at the U14 OBA Championships and will now represent Ontario at the U14 Jr. NBA Canadian Qualifiers – June 15-17 in St. Catharines. The #1 ranked Warriors went 3-0 in pool play with victories over Ancaster, Motion Girl Power, and Brampton to set up a Gold Medal game vs. #2 Transway. Up three at the end of the 3rd quarter, Welland went on a 15-0 run to seize the game and win the gold 59-51.
